The Start of Something BIG
In August of 2014, Chris Stritzel set out to create a genius hour project unlike any other. His plan was to create a website to showcase the City of St,. Louis' amazing growth and report on that growth in a truthful and timely manner. The Site started out as a .weebly site under the name Architecture+Design. The new site was the foundation for Building St. Louis. After a long time (Over a year and a half) of being under a .weeby domain name, Chris purchased the Domain name BuildingSTLNews. His numbers soared on Launch Day and when the Question and Answer Sessions launched a few days later, website views for the first week soared to 1800 Unique Visors and 4000 Page Views.
Meet The Main Team
Founder, Owner, Primary Author and Social Media Director
Chris Stritzel is currently a student at Vianney High School in Kirkwood Missouri, Graduating in 2019. This website was created in Ms. Hoge's English class as part of a Genius Hour project. As you can tell, his project has grown substantially.
Ever since Chris was little, he was interested in buildings and the technology that went into building them. The project Chris found interesting, which never happened was the Original Ballpark Village Design of 2007. He began digging in to why it failed. That is when his research on building and construction began. When Ballpark Village's first phase started construction, Chris was happy and anxious for it to open. Now he is waiting for the next big thing to come to St. Louis, which is possibly the Predicted 2020's Building Boom.
Chris is incredibly excited to share his commentary with you all, and he hopes that everyone likes the stories. Its his mission to share the growth of St. Louis and revival in an new way. That's why Chris is excited to Welcome you all to Building St. Louis News.
