A piece of the City's Industrial Age is ready for a new life. Lawrence Group is beginning work on turning the old Foundry into a Retail, Office and Dining Hub for the Midtown area of Saint Louis. The City Foundry St. louis @ Cortex lies on Forest Park Parkway between Vandeventer and Spring on the Northern Side of Interstate 64. The Project is slated to be Completed in the Fall of 2018 and have the following amenities:

124,000 Square Feet of office Space
133,000 Square Feet of Retail Space with around 45 Stores (One Retailer to have 30k Square Feet of Space. Walmart or Target?)
A 511 Space Parking Garage and Surface Parking
Connection to the Great Rivers Greenway VIA The old Train Bridge that runs through the site.
Phase 2 (Which will begin Construction after the first Phase of the Project is completed and be completed in 2021) will add the following to the current project:
265,000 Square Feet of additional Office Space (Totaling 389,000 Square Feet of Office Space by 2021).
16,000 Square Feet of Retail Space (Totaling 149,000 Square Feet of Retail Space)

When Completed, the development will be more like a Mall, Office and Entertainment Destination. Much like the Kansas City Power and Light District. The Total Cost for this major Redevelopment is $340 Million. That makes it one of the most expensive revitalizations in The City of Saint Louis.
Because of the projects size, updates to the project will be posted monthly in the STL Projects page and here on the main page.
