Happy New Year Everyone! Let’s start this year out right with a new development planned in Central West End! Planned for the corner of Euclid and Delmar on a long vacant lot will be roughly 161 Micro Apartment Units. The current lot is a old parking lot that is severely over grown and is just East of the recently renovated Lofts on Euclid Building. This is also a historic development for Central West End and the City, as it pushes developments closer and closer to the Delmar divide. This would become the third major development along Delmar that has been recently announced.
Planned is a three floor building and parking lot that can be converted into a parking garage when Phase 2 construction begins on the project. As said earlier, these will be Micro Apartment Units and will range in size from just over 350sf to just under 800sf. Fairly small but that means that these Apartments could be more affordable than nearby options. If approved by the LCRA, Construction could begin by the end of the year and wrap up in late 2019 or early 2020. This project would also be the 5th new residential development along Euclid in the past 5 years and will help continue the Central West End Development Boom (which has been transformational for the Neighborhood).
As we get more information, this story will be updated.
This story originally broke on Nicki’s Central West End Guide blog.
This update has been long overdue, but I will update the story now. The name of the project will be "Solire" and will basically be the same project that was originally proposed in Clayton, but shot down by NIMBYs. There will be 161 apartments here and the developer is Bob Saur. Construction is on trach to begin by years end according to sources.
