If you have read Building St. Louis or NextSTL over the past several months, you know that Centene is expanding in Clayton. Currently, one of their new towers is under construction directly next door to their current building at Hanley and Forsyth. After doing some digging around and receiving a tip from an anonymous source, I have found time lapse images of the construction of the new tower. It includes a video as seen above. Cushman and Wakefield are the owners of the video and construction images. They are powered by Truelook.
While most of the work so far has been underground, metal beams are just now starting to come out of the ground along Forsyth marking the official construction of the main structure. The video is interesting as it shows the transformation of a grassy lot to, what will become, a glassy tower with a bridge over Hanley. The images also show construction on the Corporate Auditorium section of the project.
When all is said and done, the new Tower will become the tallest in Clayton and the tallest building built in the State of Missouri in the 2010's. Construction is expected to finish up in 2020. Below are renderings of the project as well as Building St. Louis' stories on the project.
