Yesterday, we broke the news after receiving the word that accounting firm, PricewaterCooper, more commonly referred to as PwC will be moving their St. Louis office into the 12 Floor Office Building at Ballpark Village. This comes just days after renderings leaked in a real Estate event hosted by CBRE showed the PwC logo on the planned office building. The rumor of PwC moving into Ballpark Village has been around since February when PwC extended their lease on their current office space at the Bank of America Building until 2019, when Phase 2 is supposed to be completed. With the rendering and confirmation from an employee within PwC, it is safe to say the PwC will be calling Ballpark Village home.
Also with the leaked Renderings, a Rawlings logo is shown making its mark on the planned structure. The little bit of information regarding this is that Rawlings WILL NOT move their offices into Ballpark Village as a whole, but rather will focus on a fan experience. What exactly that means remains a mystery. However, in regards to Rawlings moving their offices, the possibility remains high as the building is 12 Floors fall and PwC won’t occupy all of that. So we are not going to call the office portion rumor dead as of yet. But the fan experience can be confirmed.
Furthermore, an official announcement date has not yet been finalized but according to our source inside of PwC, the announcement will come in the form of a Statement put out by the Cardinals and the Cordish Companies in mid-October. Roughly a year after Phase 2 was announced (10/25/16). Until that statement is released, we are going to hold the PwC employee’s News as a “confirmation notice”.
The Cardinals will be holding an event on December 31st that will likely be either the groundbreaking or formal unveiling of the project. Formal unveiling as in how the full finished project will look.
